The talk is aimed at new IT professionals and their managers. 

We will talk about expectations and the possibility and need for transparency of these expectations. 

We will discuss: 

•  what to do if we don't work for a "large organisation" but still want to grow professionally and financially;
•  why we should have one-to-one meetings: the professional's reasons and the manager's need to hear.

Using examples from life and various projects, I will tell you what to look for when selecting devices: 

• Why do vendors matter? 
• Why do screen resolution and form factor matter? 
• Why is it worth asking about the characteristics of the device?
