We all write automated tests and strive to receive comprehensible reports that will help us quickly understand where and what is broken. However, generating attractive reports requires writing more code... Have you ever thought, when annotating another function with the @allure.step decorator, what needs to be done to avoid doing this?

Recently, we have started a new project where developers came and brought gRPC with them. And we need to test it somehow…

It was a new experience for us, and I successfully get bumps and bruises, which I hasten to share with you.

I’ll tell you how we approached the testing of microservices and a mobile application. 

We also consider:

• a tool that helped us a lot in testing of a mobile application, even though it was useful to us not only for working with gRPC;
• a GUI gRPC client used to test microservices;
• how to write autotests.

What if you need to test a reactive system?

Based on my experience, I'll tell you how to write tests in collaboration with developers and which opportunities Spring and Reactor provide for us.
