Within the scope of this presentation, I will discuss the use of JMeter for conducting performance testing for one of the government clients, including the results, challenges, and their solutions, as well as evaluating the outcomes using Apdex. Performance Testing (PT) is a type of performance evaluation that simulates real load on any tested software, application, or website. It aims to study how the system behaves under normal and extreme load conditions to determine if the software can withstand high loads. JMeter is a load testing tool from Apache. It provides a graphical interface that we can use for configuration. A unique feature called logical controllers provides great flexibility in configuring tests in a GUI. The Apdex methodology (Application Performance Index) is an index of application performance. An open international standard developed to provide an objective assessment of the performance indicators of corporate information systems.
