Inflation in the context of defect management

Eventually, every QA team faces the question: 'How can we assess and control the quality level of the product we deliver to users?'

The answer to this question has long been found, and the solution has been implemented in many companies — it is ZBP (Zero Bug Policy). However, ZBP only provides a general assessment of our product's quality, without allowing for a detailed analysis or control of the minor, non-critical bugs that can still affect the user experience.

As a result, even if a team's ZBP indicator is within acceptable limits, the users' impression of the product may decline, and the backlogs of teams may be overflowing with a huge number of unresolved bugs.

In my talk, I'll share how we tackled this problem. Join us if you would like to learn how we developed and implemented our own approach to assessing and controlling product quality, cleared the backlogs of team bugs, and ensured that even non-critical issues don't proliferate in our product.
