Continuous Integration: Build, Deploy & Test

  • Easy

Continuous Integration, automation – buzzwords or real panacea? Let’s figure out: what does Continuous Integration mean and is there a place for a tester?

Every day you check out last sources, build, install on a clean test system and run all test cases. And then install on another system. And another. And one more. And more… And it’s already a night time.

Stop suffering!

How can you automate a process everyday testing a current project version? How can a single tester test a project developed by 15 developers on 4 different test systems?

This is what I’m going to talk about. I will tell you about my experience in the automation of building, deploying and testing on different systems. I will tell you how I did it using Microsoft Test Manager and about other tools which can make a testing easier.
