ISTQB for advanced: how and why a QA lead should receive ISTQB Advanced certification

Probably every QA specialist has heard about ISTQB certification. Opinions about it are mixed: some consider passing the exam a waste of time, while others, like me, have found many advantages in it, especially if a practice leader receives it.
In my talk, I will discuss:
• About ISTQB certification: what exams there are, which ones and how to choose.
• What the certification gives to a beginner specialist, a lead, and a company.
• How to prepare for and how to pass the exam.
• Why it is highly advisable for a practice leader to have a closer look at the Advanced exams.
• What experience can be gained from failures in the exam, and why it is useful to fail at least once.
I will focus mainly on the Advanced exams, but we will also talk about the others.
