Website Tracker and How to Test It

  • 20 min
Metric collection systems help monitor a website performance — they show how fast pages load, how responsive the interface is, and how comfortable the user feels. But what if the reports show everything is fine, while users still complain about slowdowns?
In this talk, we will discuss why you shouldn't blindly trust the numbers and how to ensure that performance data truly reflects what users feel. Without excessive theory — just practical techniques and tools.
In this talk, I will cover:
• how to approach testing trackers;
• how to make sure metrics actually reflect real user experience;
• what pitfalls we have encountered;
• what tools to use — I will show examples in Playwright (for the front) and Golang (for the back), with reports in Allure;
• why metric tests are needed, and even more — regular tests.

See you at the talk!
