Operating System Testing: Approaches, Challenges and Solutions

In today’s digital world, operating systems are at the core of almost all devices and applications. More than 50% of these devices run on Linux — from embedded systems and web servers to mobile devices, desktops, and supercomputers. Testing such systems brings unique challenges and requires a specialised approach.

In this talk, we will explore the key levels of the OS testing process, from the kernel to the UX, and share real-world experience and practical advice. We will pay special attention to the effective tools that we use in our work. We will also examine real cases and key nuances that will be useful for both operating system quality assurance specialists and QA engineers from related fields.
