Establishing a Regression Testing Framework

  • 40 min

Yet another story of brave QA engineers fighting chaos while building a regression testing framework within their project.

At the start, we had only intuitive regression testing, hard-to-maintain “bedsheet” test cases of unclear relevance, unclear bug coverage, production bugs, burned-out QAs, and an annoyed business.

In this talk, I will share:

  • how we explored different approaches to organising regression testing;

  • which ones worked for us, which didn’t, and why;

  • what additional activities proved helpful;

  • which tools we had to abandon;

  • and the results we ultimately achieved.

Spoiler: the trend is positive — though it still needs some fine-tuning with a file. :-)
