Performance testing with Selenium

Almost every modern IT-project faces the need of performance testing. However, performance testing requires special skill and uses tools and approaches different from automated functional testing. What to do if you have absolutely no experience in performance testing, but there is a full set of functional tests written using Selenium WebDriver? Is it possible to use them for performance testing? Client-side? Or maybe server-side? In this talk I will review the main approaches of using functional tests this way and try to prove that it is possible to conduct performance testing using Selenium WebDriver.
