In school we were taught that everything in nature is interconnected. Living organisms do not exist in isolation, they interact with the environment and other organisms. They can only survive together, in the form of a self-organizing and self-developing ecosystem within which there is continuous energy flow.
In the IT-world we have similar complex structures, where organisms are development teams, users, consultants, service providers etc.
Major ecosystems are grown by manufacturers of operating systems. Smaller ecosystems are grown around programming languages, development platforms, technologies and frameworks.
One of the strongest and most stable ecosystems in the testing world is grown around the Selenium project.
In this speech, I'm going to tell you how this ecosystem evolves, and how to consulme effectively what it produces.
