How to rule a distributed team and make it successful?

Nowadays, when outsourcing approach is spreading widely, more and more teams work together remotely. What should you do if you work in such team, and, besides, if you should manage this team? I got the most vivid experience of such practice when I worked together with Russian and Vietnam colleagues. Nevertheless, even if working with colleagues located within one country, problems and difficulties don’t change. In scope of this lecture I would like to share some advice that was gathered during a long and hard working experience.
