Reliance on APIs to foster communication between systems, apps and devices is important and steadily increasing because of trends like cloud computing, the Internet of Things and more. APIs should be tested alongside other features and functionality of the product. If an API breaks because errors weren’t detected, there is the threat of not only breaking a single application, but an entire chain of business processes connected to it. Putting more effort into API testing leads to a much "healthier" final product. Postman is a great tool for testing APIs.
If you are new to Postman and used it for basic requests, this presentation will help you to get started building complex and effective tests for your API. We will cover: use of different syntaxes for tests, executing and monitoring collections, building flows for your tests, using built-in libraries etc. My goal is to show endless possibilities of using Postman for every day API testing
