Not a fail, but experience! A short story about autotests implementation

  • 40 min

Now I am working as an autotester at Arenadata. Before that, I was a manual tester in a small IT department developing a whole software ecosystem for internal use. Since the department was small, I was the only tester there, and the autotests were on the only project but hadn't been updated for several years. As a person who loves automation, on pure enthusiasm, I decided to create a system to automate UI testing with an eye to having autotests written by analysts using BDD. But the project didn't take off. I will tell you exactly what caused the collapse of such a beautiful idea and how you can avoid it. Come, it will be interesting!
