The world of software testing and quality management is undergoing a rapid transformation. New approaches to working, such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment and the world of DevOps opens new challenges and opportunities to the testing community. New technological advances such as Blockchain, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence is already changing the way we approach our craft.

Underlying all of these changes will always be the fundamentals of business management. A software quality engineer is part of a team who works toward an end, and that end is business-related. We are often (as we should be) focusing on improving our technical know-how. But few testers have ever been exposed to the "business of testing".

During my talk, I will touch on important issues such as supply and demand, vendor and management, cost-to-income and other financial issues, and implementing LEAN principles into the testing organisation.
